Landa to expand in Australasia after drupa exhibition

Landa plans to expand its operations in Asia and Oceania in late 2020 after drupa, with its first press expected in Australia and New Zealand early in 2021.

The company’s manufacturing infrastructure, consumables production and support operations are expanding with regional headquarters being set up in China to support the growth in sales activity across the Asia Pacific including Japan.

Claiming that nanography has become a reality across the globe, Landa will showcase its progress with the technology at drupa 2020. Currently, it has three Landa models, two installed and working around the world with a third set to ship to a European customer.

The Landa S10, a single-sided sheetfed press, targets the folding carton, signage and display markets. The company has installed three of these across Israel and Europe. It has another five Landa S10s ready for installation before the end of the year, including one on its way to one of the top three folding carton converters in China, the first customer in the Asia Pacific region.

The company has aimed its Landa S10P sheetfed perfector press at the commercial print and publishing markets. It has installations at two sites in North America, with another three of these set for installation before the end of this year.

The third press, the webfed Landa W10 prints on film, plastic and other synthetic materials. As the newest model in the Landa series, it will ship to a German flexible packaging converter at the end of this year.
