Heather Letfus has left PrintNZ after almost 14 years service.

Ruth Cobb, general manager at PrintNZ, says, “Heather started with PrintNZ on 17 October 2005 and has tirelessly worked in the role of membership co-ordinator for the upper North Island, but has also worked with many of the members in the rest of the country as required.  With a background in print she had already a broad knowledge of the industry which helped immensely in her dealings with members across the whole print gamut.

“For a period of time Heather worked as a training mentor/assessor for trainees and apprentices in some of the regions and did an excellent job of coaching these people through their qualifications. She took a great deal of satisfaction from helping these people achieve their goals.

“In the latter years Heather took a particular focus on Health and Safety and made a substantial commitment to attaining qualifications in this area, developing resources for members and working with members to implement H&S systems, particularly following the introduction of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.”

Her contribution was formally recognised at the recent PrintNZ Management Advisory Group meeting, where Ruth Cobb recognised the excellent work that Heather had done. Cobb said, “On behalf of the Board and staff of PrintNZ, we are very sorry to see Heather leave and we thank her for all she has done for the industry.”

“Heather is moving on to work with her husband Grant in their training business WHAST, which focuses on Health and Safety training and as they work with some of the companies in our industry, we are hopeful that we will still have the opportunity to work with Heather.”
