Kiwi visitors to this week’s Visual Impact show in Sydney can see HP’s two newly launched rigid latex presses: the HP R2000 and  the HP R1000

The R-Series printers offer white ink, a first for HP latex technology, which the company says does not have issues with yellowing in comparison to UV-curable white ink.

Michelle Lees, marketing manager, HP Graphics Solutions business, says, “For 10 years, HP’s Latex printing technology has been reinventing what is possible in large format printing, and enabling Print Service Providers to say yes.  At Visual Impact 2018, HP will continue this by showcasing our new HP Latex R-Series – the first hybrid latex technology which brings the best of HP’s renowned flexible printing capabilities, coupled with rigid printing – for the first time in Australia.”

Jeremy Brew, applications specialist, HP Large Format Printing, says, “The HP Latex R-Series brings unparalleled speed and quality to a wide range of rigid materials, and unlike other ink technologies, HP’s water based Latex Inks preserve the look and feel of the media, whilst delivering odourless prints that are both safe for the environment and the printer operator. The R-Series brings HP’s first white Latex ink, which delivers glossy, high-quality true white prints that do not yellow over time like traditional UV-curable white ink often does.

“Both the 2.5m-wide HP Latex R2000, and the 1.64m-wide HP Latex R1000 will be on display, along with a full application gallery at the HP Stand, C8.  The HP team of technical and application experts will be on hand to answer questions and offer live demonstrations of this breakthrough new technology.”
