Narrow web printing and converting solutions manufacturer Mark Andy, has established a new direct sales office in Bangkok, Thailand.
 
Shaun Pullen, sales director for Asia Pacific, will head the office of sales, technical and administrative support staff, and a sales and applications support team led by Chris Irving. Pullen has managed the region for Mark Andy for a little over a year, operating independently and liaising with the corporate team and network of distributors in the area. Irving, a recent hire, has 10 years’ experience in the narrow web market and has a keen insight into printing, converting and specialty applications.
 
The team will support the network of distributors across Asia including southeast Asia, the Indian sub-continent, northeast Asia, Japan, China and Australia/New Zealand. Mark Andy says the initiative comes as resonse to customer demand
 
Mike Russell, vice president of International Sales at Mark Andy, says, “We have made the move because of positive growth in the region, and in response to our growing customer base that requires a more localised support infrastructure.”
 
The new base in Thailand provides a central location and direct contact to promote the Mark Andy and Rotoflex brands to this growing territory. Pullen says, “I am looking forward to building even stronger relationships with our customers and local distributors in the region, which will allow Mark Andy to grow its market share and further develop the region.
