German press manufacturer KBA has announced that KBA-Industrial Solutions successfully completed the process for certification to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 for its locations Würzburg and Radebeul.
With a total of around 1,000 employees at the KBA sites in Würzburg and Radebeul, KBA-Industrial Solutions assumes the role of manufacturing service provider for the other companies of the KBA Group, as well as for external customers.
Recently, the new subsidiary successfully completed the prescribed audit processes leading to certification under DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015. These quality and environmental management certificates complement the certification to BS OHSAS 18001:2007 regarding occupational health and safety. The group foundry KBA-Gießerei GmbH in Würzburg has installed an energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001:2011. The integrated management system for both companies covers all departments and divisions.
KBA considers itself a pioneer of German engineering and a successful global printing press manufacturer. It contends that modern, networked production processes, which place a particular focus on product and delivery quality, energy efficiency, labour safety and environment protection underpin this claim. These are verified by external auditors and confirmed by way of the relevant certificates.
