Finishing manufacturer Polar has announced it will show its solutions at the Hunkeler Innovationdays, which takes place from February 20-23.

The company will show its Digicut Eco; its BC 330 three- side trimmer (book cutter); and its D 56 Eco cutting machine. It will share a stand with Heidelberg and Müller Martini, integrating its machines into the live production of a brochure. Visitors are shown how to ensure an efficient and high-quality production.

Polar says the Digicut Eco laser cutter enables the cutting of intricate contours, perforating, creasing, engraving in a single pass and on a variety of materials. It processes paper, card stock, wood, acrylic glass, glass, cotton, leather, and natural rubber. It meets the GS safety standard.

The Polar three-side trimmer suits networking and automatically trimming perfect-bound products. It processes products from size DIN A6 to size DIN A4 without any need to convert the machine. It has a touch- screen display with clearly arranged menu navigation, allowing cutting programme set up in less than one minute.

The Polar D 56 cutting machine has a hydraulic drive unit for handling limited cutting volumes. Operators can save repeat sequences in one of 198 available memory positions. The cutting programmes are either generated manually or in a menu-driven and intuitive way via block programming.
